The Ariolica association: History
Created in 1976 on the initiative ofPierre Tréfeil AndJohnny Zefferini Surrounded by other great students from the Pontarlier conservatory and encouraged by its director, Mr. Elie Dupont, the Ensemble gave its first concert in June 1977.
The orchestra: “Ensemble Ariolica”: the ensemble is made up of professional musicians, senior conservatory students or amateurs and conductors, all professionals and teachers.
The musical direction is provided by Johnny Zefferini, concertmaster, and Pierre Trefeil, conductor.
The orchestra has given more than 230 concerts in the region, in France or abroad, including 145 in Pontarlier, in different formations: recital, quartet, string ensemble, symphony orchestra, operetta, opera, musical show...
Major events have marked Pontiac musical life in particular:

For more than 20 years, the orchestra has participated with other musical associations in the Christmas concert in Pontarlier.
